Hot summer days call for cool drinks and cool music – preferably infused with Caribbean flare.
This Thursday, July 15, audiences in Bonita will have the chance to experience the sounds of the islands without leaving town.
“Island Sounds” with guitarist John Frinzi and steel drummer John Patti will transport guests to latitudes south. Both musicians travel extensively throughout the US and the Caribbean sharing their energetic and charismatic personalities with audiences.
The duo will bring a fun evening of Island folk and Caribbean music to Live! At the Promenade. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Hose wearing island attire will receive a free raffle ticket towards Center for the Arts programming.
The performance is the first in the 2010-2011 season of Live! at the Promenade presented by the Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs. The series brings music, dance and theater to Bonita Springs. The Center for the Arts has a performance space located at The Promenade at Bonita Bay. The Promenade donates the space in order to encourage the arts in the community.
The performance space is equipped with stage, lighting, seating, tables and a bar. Before performances, and during intermissions, audience members enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine and other refreshments.
The full list of performances for the series is available online at www.artcenterbonita.org and brochures are available at the Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs at 26100 Old 41 Road or at the Artist Studios at the Promenade at 26821 South Bay Drive.
