On Saturday, October 17 at 8:00pm, local favorite, “Deb & The Dynamics,” bring their crowd pleasing “Rock & Soul Review” to the Center for Performing Arts Bonita Springs. This powerhouse band brings vintage Motown and Memphis soul to Southwest Florida. Lead singer, bassist and bandleader Deb Biela has a bluesy vocal style and a rock and roll presence that always leaves the audience wanting more.
This seven piece band offers a fabulous mix of blues, R&B, funk and soul. What started out as a trio with the guitar player playing a stomp box for a drum set, has transformed into a seven piece band that’s been rocking Southwest Florida for 12 years. Put your dancing shoes on because Deb and the band’s covers of your all-time favorites including “Bobby McGee,” “Stay with Me,” and “Respect,” will send you straight to the dance floor dancing and singing all night long! This talented group of musicians forms a driving, powerhouse band that brings vintage Motown and Memphis soul to Southwest Florida.
“I try to pick music that makes you feel good and makes people want to dance,” says Biela. “It’s just that simple.” Biela’s elementary approach to entertaining has the masterful effect of landing the band performances that play to thrilled audiences almost every day of the week playing original music and covers that include Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin.
Deb & The Dynamics get their audiences up and dancing with six players including Michael Baer (keyboard), Don Hulgas (tenor and baritone sax), Newt Cole (tenor, alto and baritone sax), Matthew Rongstad (Tenor/alto Sax & Flute ), Willy Miller (drums), Dan Keadey (guitar, vocals) – and Debra Biela, offering up her soulful vocals and playing a bass guitar.
